Itinera Plus leads the design and execution of academic tours and activities in Barcelona, for both local universities and education abroad programs.
Let us share with you the experience to rigorously reveal the city of Barcelona to your students and program participants. We count with a team of professional guides, who have both graduate studies and teaching experience and they are regularly trained following the Standards of Good Practice of the Forum on Education Abroad for academic activities.
We are specialized in programming and executing tours related to university level academic programs (for undergraduate or graduate students). We adapt our activities to the curricular contents of the programs in coordination with faculty, so that many of our activities are for-credit and integrated in the academic curriculum of the study abroad program. Our services include:
- orientation and welcome tours and activities (history of Barcelona tours, bus orientation tours, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts…)
- itineraries around the history of Barcelona and course-related tours
- visits to museums and art galleries, guided by specialized guides with university teaching experience
- day trips and overnight trips around Catalunya
- seminars
- creation and production of supporting materials and Reading packages for the activities
Itinera Plus Works with program directors and faculty in designing the activities which fit best with the curricular goals and outcomes of each program. Participants discuss the pre-activity readings assigned by professors during our tours, while we incorporate resources to help faculty assess these activities.
